Information about student research/employment opportunities

An old link to 'Calc Grades' showed percentages from a previous year. The ones in the syllabus are correct. My apologies for any confusion.

If planning to use lab Powerpoint programs, make sure and save your work as .ppt format, not .pptx (try File menu => Save as...). NOT using powerpoint at all is perfectly fine and perhaps preferable for a 5' presentation.

The fascinating and extensive "So you want to study ants" by Michele Lanan now available (great tool for semester projects!)

A brief, informative guide to observing/characterizing Sonoran birds by Christine Lamanna (.pdf format). Note: no collecting eggs, nests, etc.

Shockwave: required for course quizzes and many course exercises
