The Calculations page (below) provides a semi-quantitative evaluation of components in a virtual microscope.  Indices of fluorescence and estimates of fluorescence efficiency are calculated when a complete set of components is selected.  Selecting a laser negates any selection made for a lamp and/or excitation filter.  Selecting a lamp and excitation filter overwrites a laser selection.

Once selections have been made:

• The "Show/Hide Text" button opens a text page, the contents of which can be copied and pasted to a text editor for printing. 
• Each time the "Save Results" button is pressed, the current result is written to the text page. 
• The result of additional combinations can be added to the text page by using the "Save Results" button. 
• The "Clear Results " button clears the text page. 
• The "Graph Page" button returns to the Graphing page above.
