  • UBRP awarded the 5th grant for Beckman Scholars

    The Beckman Foundation made its fifth grant since 2000 to the University of Arizona for Beckman Scholars.  The University of Arizona was one of only 12 institutions nationwide to be granted a Beckman Scholars grant in 2014.  The three year grant supports a total of 6 students.  Beckman Scholars receive a total award of $26,000 over 15 months.  Dr. John Enemark is the Program Director and Carol Bender and Jennifer Cubeta are Co-directors.  For more about the Beckman Scholars Grant and the current Beckman Scholars see here.Read More
  • UBRP awarded continuous ASPET SURF grant

    The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics awarded the University of Arizona a three year ASPET Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) grant in the spring of 2014.  ASPET SURF grants support five undergraduate students working with ASPET members as a means of introducing students to research in pharmacology and toxicology.  UBRP has had continuous funding from ASPET for a SURF program since 1991 when the ASPET SURF funding was first offered.  To date 96 undergraduate students have received support through ASPET SURF.  Carol Bender is the Program Director and D...Read More
