  • MCB Softball Team Wins Faculty/Staff League Championship

    Three cheers for the MCB-based softball team, the "Flying Worms", for winning the championship of the UA Faculty/Staff Summer League! The team, captained by Fares lab member Hope Dang, captured the title by beating the second-place Rec Bandits twice in a row in the championship round of the playoffs. The Worms finished the season on a roll, winning 12 of their last 13 games, finishing with an overall record of 14-5. Well played, team!Read More
  • Marisa Lester wins advising award

  • Aishan Shi named 2013 MCB Outstanding Senior

    Congratulations to Aishan Shi, who has been named the 2013 MCB Outstanding Senior. In regards to the MCB major, she says "I love the flexibility of the program and being able to learn about diverse topics in molecular and cellular biology." In addition to her MCB major, Aishan is also majoring in Biochemistry and English, with minors in Math and Spanish. After graduation, she aims to obtain her MD/Ph.D. Along with the MCB Outstanding Senior Award, Aishan was also named a 2013 Galileo Circle Scholar.Read More
  • Sophie Hapak wins Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award

    Congratulations to Sophie Hapak, who has been awarded Excellence in Undergraduate Research Awards from both MCB and the College of Science. In addition to her MCB major, Sophie is also majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. After U of A, she will go on to medical school, where she aspires to be a neurologist.Read More
