Three academic advisers at the UA have earned national recognition from the National Academic Advising Association. Certificates of Merit – given in recognition of outstanding contributions in providing students with counsel and guidance – have been awarded to Allison Ewing-Cooper in the John and Doris Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences, Tom Fleming in the Department of Astronomy and Marisa Lester in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. "'Inspiring' was a word heard again and again during the final meeting," said Roxie Catts, director of the UA's Advising Resource Center and coordinator of undergraduate academic advising, which oversees the nomination process. more information...
