Carlos R. Infante is an assistant research professor at the University of Arizona. He studies how gene regulatory information is encoded in genomes, and how the evolution of regulatory networks shapes vertebrate morphology. His research integrates comparative and functional genomics, epigenetics, and developmental biology. Previously, he was a senior research associate at the University of Georgia and a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University. He received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University.
